Príncipe - Dinamização Turística / Boosting tourism

A Fundação Essentia Príncipe reuniu-se com a equipa responsável pela gestão da atividade turística do Príncipe com o objetivo de definir um plano de ação que responda, de forma imediata, às necessidades daqueles que visitam a ilha. O enfoque da ação vai no sentido de implementar, desde já, ações nas áreas do acolhimento e animação turística.

 

 

 

The Essentia Príncipe Foundation met with the tourism technical team, and its responsibles, in order to define a action plan capable to respond to the needs of those who visit the island. The focus of this meeting is to implement, as soon as possible, a set of actions in the areas such as hosting and tourism activities.

Reunião REDBIOS no Príncipe - Maio 2013 / REDBIOS meeting in Príncipe - May 2013

Terminou ontem a reunião da REDBIOS, este ano realizada na Ilha do Príncipe. Foi de opinião unanime o sucesso deste evento, não só pela sua excelente organização, mas também pelos resultados alcançados nas sessões técnicas que deram origem a novas ações em prol do desenvolvimento sustentável. Parabéns!

Ended yesterday the 2013 REDBIOS meeting, this year held in Principe. It was unanimous the opinion about the success of this event, not just because of its excellent organization, but also because of the results achieved in the technical sessions that gave rise to new projects in favor of sustainable development. Congratulations!

Principe Reserva da Biosfera / Príncipe Biosphere Reserve

Hoje a Ilha do Príncipe recebe o diploma oficial de Reserva Mundial da Biosfera da UNESCO. Parabéns!

Today Príncipe receives the official World Biosphere Reserve diploma by UNESCO. Congratulations!

Príncipe - Feira Agrícola e Gastronómica / Agricultural and Gastronomic Fair

Realizou-se no sábado passado a Feira Agrícola e Gastronómica do Príncipe. Com a presença e o envolvimento das comunidades o evento foi caracterizado pela participação de todos e pela promessa que ser repetido brevemente. A Fundação será sempre um parceiro.

It happened last Saturday the Agricultural and Gastronomic Fair. With the presence and involvement of local communities, the  event was characterized by the participation of all and the promise to be repeated. The Foundation will always be a partner.

Estão a decorrer os preparativos finais para a Feira Agrícola e Gastronómica do Príncipe, que acontece já amanha! É com alegria que se verifica a mobilização das instituições da sociedade civil para um evento que beneficia a Ilha e as suas comunidades. São necessários exemplos como este para caminhar no sentido da promoção de uma nova cidadania. Obrigado!

Today, the preparations end for the Agricultural and Gastronomic Fair of Príncipe. It will happen tomorrow ! It is with joy that we see the mobilization of institutions for an event that benefits the Island and its communities. Examples like this are needed to promote new citizenship in Principe. Envolvimento das ONGD / NGDO Involvement

A Fundação Essentia Príncipe promoveu hoje uma reunião com as associações locais com o objetivo de as envolver no processo de transformação da realidade social da Ilha. Participaram também algumas voluntárias que estão no Príncipe que abraçam este projeto com energia e voluntarismo.

 

Essentia Príncipe Foundation met today with some local associations in order to involve them in transformation process of the local social reality. The meeting was also participated  by some volunteers who are on the island and have embraced this project with energy and voluntarism.

Reforço da equipa / Team reinforcement

A equipa da Fundação Essentia Príncipe foi hoje reforçada com o responsável pela área Natureza, Pedro Sarmento, que assumiu o desafio de contribuir para a promoção e preservação dos recursos naturais da Ilha do Príncipe, junto com as comunidades, instituições e agentes.

 

 

 

 

Essentia Principe Foundation team was today reinforced with the Nature theme responsible, Pedro Sarmento. He took on the challenge to contribute for the preservation and promotion of Principe natural resources, side by side with communities, institutions and stakeholders.

 

Promoção da responsabilidade / Responsibility promotion

Com o objetivo de preparar a cidade para a celebração do Dia da Autonomia, no próximo dia 29 de Abril, a Fundação Essentia Príncipe participou numa ação de limpeza de Stº António juntamente com outras instituições, empresas e população em geral. Esta iniciativa é um exemplo a seguir para a concretização de muitos mais projetos. A Fundação está sempre disponível para participar.

In order to prepare the city for the Autonomy Day celebration, on the 29th April, the Foundation has participated in a cleaning action along with other institutions, companies and population. This initiative is an example to follow for the materialization of many more projects. The Foundation is always available to attend.

Apoiar os jovens criativos | Supporting creative young people

Um dos nossos propósitos é apoiar os jovens criativos da ilha, como é o caso de Geny, uma jovem empreendedora que está a criar uma coleção de bolsas em tecido africano.

One of our purposes is to support  local creative young people, such as Geny, a young entrepreneur who is creating her first collection of handbags made with African tissue.

Doces segredos do Príncipe / Sweet secrets from Príncipe

A Fundação Essentia Príncipe, pela área do Turismo, iniciou a identificação das pessoas que ainda possuem os segredos gastronómicos do Príncipe. Um desses são as Queijadas de Coco da D. Fina.  Com o coco ralado pelas suas próprias mãos, a sua fama já ultrapassou as fronteiras da ilha.

Essentia Príncipe Foundation, by the Tourism theme, has initiated the identification of people who still possess some of the regional gastronomic secrets. One of those are the coconut queijadas (cakes) from D. Fina. With shredded coconut by her own hands, their fame has surpassed the boundaries of the island.
